Problems with people not putting phones back in cradle?
In the last couple of years I found my cordless phone dead too mant times. I understand the need for a computer, and to a lesser extent a cell phone for outside. BUT I guess I'm going backwards in land line phones. I now use a cordless phone in my bedroom, a CORDED phone for living room and another CORDED one in the house. I bought a GE Trimline 210= $20 2 yrs ago and same model last month. It seems I bought this same exact phone 30 or 35 yrs ago.
True you have to stay right there to use it, but has anyone ever heard the clarity and loudness of these? AND I did solve my problem. May even come in handy when there's no electric.
I like the idea of keeping at least one corded phone in the house in case of power outages. Being in the tropics, every time a hurricane comes through, power goes out. Keeping cordless phones in the cradle will come easier when all your kids grow up and move out. There are remote chargers for some of these phones that you can place the phones in these "bases" just for charging. The phone I like is the one that you can have 2 phones with the same base and you can use the phones for intercoms. Those come with an additional base just for charging.
