electricity & electronics question?
the grid in a high vacuum triode is usually kept negativley charged with respect to the cathode so that the electrons may be...
a.accelerated toward the anode
b.accerlerated toward the cathode
c.attracted to the anode instead of the grid
d.attracted to the cathode instead of the grid
I don't like any of the answers. A is the closest to true.
The GRID is used to control the FLOW of electrons... to accelerate them or retard them or stop them... "Biased to Cutoff" is not just a meaningless expression
